Not Your Boring CLE, PLLC
Credits You'll Actually Remember (and Enjoy)!
Let's be honest: CLE has a reputation. Beige slides. Droning voices. A clock that somehow runs backward. We started Not Your Boring CLE to blow that up. We think continuing legal education can be sharp, useful, and—brace yourself—actually enjoyable. You still earn the credits you need. You just won't want to claw your eyes out doing it.
You went to law school. You passed the bar. You don't need to be lectured at like a first-year who skipped the reading. We treat you like the busy professional you are: we respect your time, cut the filler, and deliver content you'll actually use on Monday morning. Real substance, real rigor, zero snooze.
Our founder and lead instructor has spent 25 years both practicing law and teaching legal courses—long enough to know exactly what makes CLE work and what makes attorneys check their phones. That standard sets the bar for everyone we bring on.
Every instructor we add isn't just a subject-matter expert. They're a genuinely great presenter—someone with the kind of war stories, hard-won tips, and practical insight that makes the time you spend with us exponentially worth it. If they can't keep a room of skeptical lawyers leaning in, they don't make the cut.
A growing catalog built around what actually matters to practicing attorneys:
Substantive law updates across major practice areas
Legal ethics and professional responsibility
Practical skills like negotiation, writing, and trial advocacy
Technology, AI, and the modern practice of law
Diversity, wellness, and the business of running a practice
Our courses are Illinois MCLE approved, with applications pending in additional jurisdictions. Licensed somewhere else? You may still be able to claim credit thanks to reciprocity rules in many states.
A number of jurisdictions let attorneys self-report or claim credit for courses accredited by another approved MCLE jurisdiction—including Illinois—subject to each state's own conditions, fees, and filing procedures:
California explicitly lists Illinois as an approved accrediting jurisdiction.
Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, Montana, New Jersey, North Dakota, and Wisconsin generally accept credit earned through any approved MCLE jurisdiction.
Rules and conditions vary, so always confirm current requirements with your state bar or MCLE board before relying on out-of-state credit.
